SYW - Prussian Army - Seydlitz hussars - HR No.8

Manufacturer:  Wargames Foundry
Scale:  28mm

Hi again,

today I´m posting a test figure of the red Seydlitz hussars of Frederick the Great´s army.

This regiment fought in the battles of Kolin, Landeshut, Rossbach, Breslau, Leuthen and so on…

If you are interested in the history of this regiment you will like the website of www.kronoskaf.com concerning this unit. http://www.kronoskaf.com/syw/index.php?title=Seydlitz_Hussars

After a long time of doing nothing for the hobby at all I would like to take up my brushes again and increase my units on the SevenYearsWar.

As I already have some French and Austrian units ready for action I thought it was time to start with the most famous units of this war and also my favorites - the Prussians.

Though I don´t like painting horses I´m always fascinated of cavalry units especially the hussars. I love their dolmans and colors of their uniforms and that every unit looks different. So my choice was to paint up a unit of the red Seydlitz hussars first. I want to give the unit a strength of 8 hussars placed on four bases with 40mm in width and 50mm in length so the unit will be compatible with my already done units.

So, this is my test figure on this regiment. Maybe I´ll just put on a few more highlights. The pelisse is missing but also in work.

Cheers

Mike
