Hi, 

this is just another intermezzo concerning a figure I wanted to paint a long time ago.

It stood near to my painting table for months - and a lot of his fellows still do so.

Finally I managed to finish this guy and hope that some of the normal Legionaries will follow soon.

This must be the Centurion of the smallest Roman unit of all times.

Only one single Legionary is aside to wait for his orders.

Must have been a very fierce battle they just survived. 

Maybe Cannae?  :)

Hi again,

though it´s only a single figure I thought of posting some pictures of this Roman Legionary from the age of Caesar. I bought two boxes of those guys and this is my master figure for testing how the whole unit could look.

The figures are hard plastic and are very easy to fix and glue. I had fun assembling the single figures.

Please feel free for critical comments. I´m not sure whether the shield is correct or if the silver parts (except the part in the middle) has to be red or even golden. Maybe there is an expert on the Roman armies who can help me here.
