"Zeitreise ins 18.Jahrhundert" - Reenactment in Eichenzell near Fulda in Germany

Hi,

today I went to a Reenactment event in Hesse. There are a lot of shows concerning the middle ages around here but I have never been to an event dealing with the times of the 18th century.

Here are some or better a lot of impressions I got today. If I had more time I would have joined one of those groups - my favorites had been the Hesse-Cassel Regiment of Dithfurt.

This guy told me to be a member of the 1st Pennsylvania Regiment.

Hesse-Cassel Jägers

Two allied Commanders

This 12pdr was also shot on this event and caused a lot of smoke and loudness.

Even indians have to go for morning toilet.

The 1st Pennsylvania

Some scottish fighters

A part of the real big camp.

Saxon artillery

A very realistic Redcoat.

The Prussian camp

His comment: "What´s his name, where does he come from and show me your teeth".

Hesse-Cassel Regiment of Dithfurt

The Indian warband

A fantastic looking costume

Again Hesse-Cassel Regiment of Dithfurt.

Regiment Royal-Ecosse

Hessian Jägers

One event - Lords dueling with pistols.

Their majesties of Hesse

Also very impressive - a short introduction about fencing with foils

This event will be again on 12./13. of August in 2017.

I´ll be there again for sure.

Cheers
Mike
