A visit to the "Internationales Maritimes Museum" in Hamburg

 

Hi again,

on our trip to the tabletop convention "Tactica" in Hamburg in end of February we also visited the "Internationales Maritimes Museum" in Hamburg. It is really worth a trip. Thousands of model ships in every size from 2cm to 8m.

We had been flashed by the immense input and eyecandy. If you are a fan of ships you will have to go there. And if you are also a fan of model trains - here is another trip advice - https://www.miniatur-wunderland.de/ . This exhibition is about half a mile away from the IMM.

The Shop-area - with hundreds of little warships, but not cheap.

Unbelievable - each ship is about 5 to 10 cm - just have a look at the rigging.

Do you recognize the small black dot in the middle of the ship? It´s a crew member ot the model ship.

This ship is about 8cm in length.

And here is its crew. Only zooming with the camera made me see them.
