Hi,

this is already the fourth part dealing with "The Boxer Rebellion" or "Peking 1900". This time I would like to show you the series of miniatures made by TeamMiniatures that represents the contingent of France - The French Marine Infantry and French Navy. This series consists of seven wonderful figures.

The figures shown within my earlier posts about the Boxer Rebellion are already completely added to my collection. This time a single figure of this series is missing (PGFA-6004). If it is not sold out yet I hope to get it from one of my dealers.

The further posts to come concerning "The Boxer Rebellion" also won´t show figures of my collection. I don´t have the complete range. There are some series there I only have one single figure and also some series there I don´t have any figure at all.

But I can assure you that there will be some special content.

Hi again,

the third part of my series about the Boxer Rebellion shows a small series of Italian Bersaglieri. Again these figures are produced by TeamMiniatures. There are two variants of uniforms - one in blue and one in beige. The figures of both variants are identically the same and there are at least nine figures in both variants. I decided to go for the blue variants because this is also the one that can be found within Osprey 95 "The Boxer Rebellion".

Toysoldiers - "The Boxer Rebellion" or "Peking 1900" - Soldiers of the German 3rd Seabatallion

Hi,

this post within my little series about the "Boxer Rebellion" is dedicated to the German 3rd Seabatallion. A very stylish unit because of their helmets. Maybe you know the famous painting of Carl Röchling called "Germans to the front". I have also added a picture of this painting to the post.

The 3rd Seabatallion was part of the international force under command of the British General Seymour that was sent to rescue the besieged alllied troops in Peking in June 1900.

The figures are again from the wonderful range "Peking 1900" made by TeamMiniatures. This small series contains at least 10 figures and every single miniature is fantastic.

Just a fun fact - Tsingtao was a German colony in China and the Germans established a brewery there in 1903. Tsingtao beer is one of the two biggest breweries in China and also one of the ten biggest breweries in the world. It is exported into more than 100 countries. What a wonderful combination - collecting toysoldiers while enjoying some good beer. :)

Toysoldiers - "The Boxer Rebellion" or "Peking 1900" - British Royal Marine Light Infantry

Hi,

today´s post is about the fantastic range called "Peking 1900" made by TeamMiniatures. This range covers the different contingents of forces from the leading western nations that fought against the "Boxers" from 1899 till 1901. 

The most known fight during this war should be the "55 days at Peking", where the Chinese Boxers and the Chinese army fought against small contingents of the UnitedStates, Russia, Japan, Austro-Hungary, Germany, Italy, France and Britain. The total number of the allied troops defending the Embassy district of Beijing was about 450 men, while the Chinese forces were about several thousand fighters. 

TeamMiniatures released figures of the contingents of the UnitedStates, Russia, Italy, France, Britain and Germany and also some figures covering the Boxers and also the Chinese Imperial Army. Unfortunately there are no Austro-Hungarians or Japanese. But concerning the Japanese there is a chance to do some fake as TeamMiniatures also released a range covering the Russo-Japanese War of 1904/1905. The Japanese troops of this range should fit aswell.

After some years of happy collecting I managed to complete the figures from the contingents of Britain, Germany and Italy (the blue uniformed Bersiagleri - there are also the identical figures in tan that I do not have). The contingent of France is missing a single figure. And until now there is only one Imperial Chinese Infantryman that has found his way into my collection.

Within this post I will concentrate on the miniatures from the British Royal Marine Light Infantry.
