SYW - Reenactment - "Historical Timetrip to the 18th century" - Eichenzell, near Fulda, Hesse, Germany

Hi,

last sunday I had been to the "Historische Zeitreise ins 18.Jahrhundert" - a camp of Reenactors concerning the 18th century. It takes place every year on the second weekend in August.

I have been there for the third time now and it is always a pleasure to see the uniforms and clothing of this century and all the reenactors bringing the feeling of this epoche to life.

The programm they offer every year on these two days is also interesting, showing some old Rokoko-dancing styles, fencing, different handymen dealing with rifles, clothing and much more, recruitment and of course presentation of the single units and a small battle.

Hi again,

Just got these three figures for my collection of ToySoldiers today. There are two boers for the Second Boer War by TeamMiniatures and Lt.Col. Heinrich von Breymann from the Brunswick troops of the American War of Independence by JohnJenkinsDesign.

The boers will need some more support against their British opponents and Lt.Col. is in need of Brunswick soldiers as I only have some Hessian Grenadiers by King&Country. :)

I guess that a part of my holidays starting next week will find me taking a trip to the museum of Schmalkalden again.
