Toysoldiers - "Battle on snowshoes" - Using a bigger cabinet for displaying

Manufacturer:   JohnJenkinsDesign

Scale:   60mm (1:30)

Hi again,

Last weekend I tried to rearrange my collection in a new cabinet that I had bought from a customer about two years ago. This cabinet is much deeper and wider than the ones I already have for my collection. It measures 1,40m in height, about 95cm in width and about 50cm in depth.

I was lucky to get two of them and I included them into my home office. So every time I get bored from work I am able to reset a bit by looking at the cabinets.
The only thing I don’t like about them is the light green edging.
Both of these „new“ cabinet enable me to place my collection of the range of the „Battle on snowshoes“ in total. Formerly I had to split the collection into two parts.
The plan is to make a real diorama some time with better terrain and also a small rinse of water displayed. But it is a good start so far and I am really happy to have the space to display the complete range on one single shelf. So I am lucky with the actual result.
A lot to do in future. It will need a lot of time to build suitable terrain and also to fill it with lots of figures.
I am going to place the ranges here that I was already lucky to get enough figures to arrange bigger displays.
The ranges with less figures are still kept in the former displays.

Cheers
Mike

The complete overview on the total range.

The two cabinets in a view from my working desk in my home office. As you can see there´s a lot
of space left and also a lot to do on the terrain.

Some close-ups.

The following pictures show the cabinets I kept this range before its movement to the bigger cabinet. As you can see I had to split it into two parts. I never have been satisfied with this circumstances.

The last four pictures show the first showcase as I had not completed the range. At this time the figures and terrain had been kept on one shelf about 70cm wide an 25cm deep. I used to integrate the figures in a cabinet where I normally display my wargaming stuff. But as I concentrated on collecting this special range the amount of figures soon got too much for this little space.
